Editorial

This issue of the Newsletter is rather late and shorter than usual publications, for which I must apologise.
However, family pressures have resulted in my having too little time to devote to this edition. All articles which have been submit ted, but which do not appear here will be published in future editions, and there are several. So, thanks to all those who have sent in articles and my apologies for not being able to include them in this Spring Newsletter.

After six years of producing the newsletter, I have decided to stand down at the next AGM. So for all you budding journalists and editors there is a chance for you to take the newsletter into 2002 with a flourish. A brief job description is available in this newsletter, please feel free to contact me if you require further information, or John Bacon (addresses and telephone numbers are on the back page).

And finally, as the beginning of the season approaches, don’t forget to send information about your forthcoming events to Nicola, the Events Officer, and pictures and words for the Newsletter.
