Newsletter Winter 2015
The leading article by incoming Newsletter Editor, Sam Ross, is tinged with sad news of the passing of Roy Dommett, without whose knowledge and inspiration many of us would never have shared with him the ‘Joy of Morris’.
Please note that we have paused the magazine at the current time, pending handover to the new Membership Communications Officer.

Amazing Headbangers and a Geometrical Hedgehog are just two of the more unusually titled articles in this edition of the newsletter. There are the regular features such as Paul White’s Diary and accounts of anniversaries and trips, and a return of the interview feature. Plus, a wealth of photographs – has your side been caught on camera?
The 40th anniversary of The Morris Federation features prominently in this issue, together with signficant anniversaries from other sides. Our Notation Officer describes how to access some of tremendous amount of material now available, and some of the tasks still to be undertaken.
This year we celebrate the 40th year of The Morris Federation, so the main focus in this issue is on reflections back to earlier times. However, we also look to present day concerns such as health and safety, and to the future in using modern technology to improve availability of information about morris dancing in all its manifestations.
