Welcome to the 1986 Summer Newsletter and I hope you are all enjoying thedancing season.

Firstly, congratulations and best wishes to Val Parker and her husband Eric on the birth of their son, Timothy Charles, on February 6th. Val not only managed to have a healthy baby, but also to get the Spring Newsletter out on time, within a few days of the birth!

Further on in this Newsletter, you’ll find a couple of articles which have resulted from recent contact we have had with the Morris Ring. We have been pleasantly surprised by this contact, it seems that the climate is getting better! I hope that the weather outside warms up soon to match it.

And lastly, a quick plug – I was recently interviewed by Jim Lloyd for Folk on Two, about the Morris Federation and Women’s Morris. It was broadcast on Wednesday 14th May, and you’ll have to listen carefully, as it’s all of five minutes.
