Welcome to 1996. I spent new year on – Dartmoor with friends, including our new _
President – lots of food and drink and log fires – wonderful. It has come to our notice that a few of you are’ sending identical, or near identical contributions to more than one newsletter” or magazine, to be precise Morris Federation. Newsletter, Morris Matters, English Dance and Song, The Morris Dancer. Please don’t do this. All these publications are always looking for material and. it is inevitable that – we. will publish, most of what we are sent the commercial world it is standard practice not to publish material sent to more than one publication, therefore, please» write a different letter to each of us | and tell’ us that you have sent something to an other publication.

Janet Dowling is now our new President. Janet survived her first: Committee meeting — which included ‘ seven hours of ‘meeting and driving to and from Yeovil. It is amazing the amount of work through in the time available.
