The festival highlights traditional dances, emphasizing innovative choreography and cultural heritage.

DERT 2008 was held in Liverpool from March 9-11, hosted by Southport Swords. The International Sword Spectacular Festival is set for May 23-26 in York, featuring teams such as Bal da Sabre Fenestrelle from Italy, Boerke Naas from Belgium, Charles River Rapper from the USA, and many more from across the globe, celebrating traditional sword dancing.
