Editorial

What can I say about the summer of 2020? I regret the absence of reviews of festivals and workshops but as we all know, apart from virtual festivals, nothing is happening. As I write this, I would normally be looking forward to Sidmouth, to dancing on the prom and watching the John Gasson Solo Jig Competition. That is going to be a virtual competition this year – it will be interesting to see how it works. As for the content of this issue, we’re harking back to the early twentieth century for much of it, with many thanks to the contributors. Especial thanks to our very talented Light-under-a-bushel artist who has captured some of the Covid fallout in his cartoons of ‘The Morris Sighed’.
