The JMO Day of Dance is a collaborative event organised in turn by one of the three morris organisations in the UK – The Morris Federation, The Morris Ring, and Open Morris. The day of dance is a celebration of morris and traditional dancing held annually at a different location around the UK, in 2021 it will be in Liverpool.
The Joint Morris Organisations’ Day of Dance will take place on Saturday 17th April 2021 in Liverpool City Centre hosted by The Morris Ring in the North West. This was postponed from 2020 due to the Coronavirus Covid-19 outbreak.
Registration (inc. collecting tin/info pack allocation) from 9.15am is at Liverpool Central Library, William Brown Street L3 8EW (just across the road from Liverpool Lime Street Station, right hand side of St Georges Hall) where visiting sides will find women’s and men’s changing facilities, toilets, secure storage and a cafe. Early arrivals will find lots of great places to breakfast within a few minutes walk, and the city is blessed throughout with a cornucopia of really fine pubs and eateries.
The event starts at 10am at Liverpool One’s Sugar House Steps (outside John Lewis) with a welcome from the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, and ends at 4pm with a centrally located closing ceremony.
More information will be added as it becomes available.
