BBC Countryfile currently have a vote open for their 2017 calendar as to which picture will appear on the cover. May’s picture is of Morris Federation members Pebworth Morris Men dancing at dawn on 1st May.

Tickets still available for AGM ceilidh
There are still tickets available for the Mortimer’s Morris ceilidh following the The Morris Federation AGM on Saturday 24th September 2016. The ceilidh will run from 7.30-11pm in the Canal

Dancing in the trenches to honour the morris men killed at the Somme
Article in The Telegraph, “Now a century on from their deaths a modern day troupe of young morris dancers are heading out to the Somme in July to perform at the cemeteries and memorials where the names of their forefathers are recorded. The dancers are part of a side called ‘Fool’s Gambit’ whose 16 members hail from across the country and are aged between 17 and 25.”
