Workshop – Family Dance – Rachel Cole-Wilkin
This workshop introduces young dancers to a variety of ceilidh and morris dances, all adapted to suit our current zoom environment. No previous dance experience is necessary, so whether you are a veteran dancer or giving it a go for the first time we hope you will join us! All dances will be suitable for solo dancers, and can be adapted to suit whatever space you have available, so all you need to bring is your energy and your dancing feet.
This workshop is best suited for dancers ages 7+, though younger dancers are more than welcome to join in. Parents and those young at heart are also welcome.

Your host
Rachel Cole-Wilkin was born and raised in California, but has lived in England on and off for the past ten years. She has been dancing since the age of 4, and has studied and taught a wide range of dance traditions including ballet, ballroom, folk dance and creative movement.
She is a member of The Belles of London City morris team, and assistant morris dance tutor at the English Folk Dance and Song Society, and has previously danced with Sharp Morris in London and Berkeley Morris in California.
Rachel holds an MA in Applied Theare from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and has worked as a drama and movement teacher in both the UK and the US. When not dancing, Rachel is a London Tour Guide, Family Photographer, and proud mum of a morris dancing toddler.
