Morris For All badges & logo
Badge
In August 2025 the JMO launched a ‘Morris For All’ badge, from an idea by Rob Tidy (Roots Morris and Adlington Morris Men).
It’s clear Morris dancers make the best ambassadors. Most new dancers come via friends or from talking to dancers during a show. Among the many positive aspects of taking up Morris dance, perhaps the most important are enjoyment and a feeling of belonging.
The ‘Morris for All’ badge is designed to be worn when dancing out, to give that message of welcome, and to encourage people to talk to dancers. ‘It’s great fun, you could do it, and you would be made welcome’. And this is a message we can promote most strongly across the diversity that exists within the Morris world. Individual teams may have their specialisms and restrictions, but working together we can help people find their ideal team in the area.
Wear the badge to get the conversation going and to celebrate our world! A 30mm soft enamel badge with butterfly clasp pin fastening. The badge’s colours and the slogan promote the idea that Morris welcomes and can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds.
Available to purchase for just £1 plus postage at costs from the Morris Federation, Morris Ring and Open Morris. https://www.morrisfed.org.uk/merchandise/badges/

We welcome feedback on the EDI resources. We also welcome suggestions for other EDI-related topics which could be included. Please send a message using the Contact Us form (select ‘EDI’ in the Enquiry Type drop-down).
