For morris, sword, mummers, clog step, appalachian & morris-related activities

Your side is invited to take part in the 2026 Morris Census, an online survey of sides to gather information about traditional dance and performance. The survey will provide a wealth of knowledge, so I encourage you to complete it on behalf of your side before the survey closes on Wednesday 1st April.
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete and is open to sides of sword dancers, mummers, appalachian/ clog steppers and morris dancers, in the UK and internationally. Click the green link below or use this link to start the survey: https://bit.ly/MorrisCensus2026
Please forward the link to the survey on to any sides you know that are based in other countries, or who are not members of a UK morris organisation, as they are particularly difficult to contact.
Census results of 2014, 2017, 2020 and 2023
More information about the morris census, including the results of previous surveys, may be found at: https://morriscensus.uk
Find out how many morris dancers there were in the UK in 2023; how old was the average dancer; how diverse and inclusive sides are; how many new recruits are joining; and much more.
