EFDSS Gold Badge award for Pauline Woods-Wilson
We were delighted that Pauline had been awarded an EFDSS Gold Badge, which was due to be presented at the AGM. Eliza read the Citation she had written, and showed a slideshow of Pauline she had prepared in various kits through the ages. Mike Heaney was supposed to present the Gold Badge, but had unfortunately been taken ill and was too unwell to travel that day. So, after a time of panic that morning, Eliza plotted to use a Gold Duck with an EFDSS sword lock on it, as an alternative item, which she had planned to give to Pauline at the Committee meeting. She asked Frank Lee to present it, to much hilarity from the audience!
Watch the videos of Eliza reading the Citation, and Pauline’s response, via the link below. Thanks to Owain Boorman for the videos, Brian Kelly for video editing and Barry Pitman for the ‘quacking’ image of Pauline with her duck.
