Morris Federation AGM Day of Dance 2026 - Saturday 26th September, Stoke-on-Trent
The Morris Federation and Domesday Morris extend a warm welcome to all members of The Morris Federation to join us in a Day of Dance on Saturday 26th September 2026 in Stoke-on-Trent, followed by The Morris Federation’s AGM.
The Day of Dance will include tours that include the likes of Gladstone Pottery Museum or Ford Green Hall, and great pubs like The Glebe or The Holy Inadequate.
The day, including the AGM, will be based at Fenton Town Hall, and from here there will be coach tours provided by Domesday showcasing some of the great industrial heritage of our city. The day will start with a chance to meet old friends and new while having a brew and light breakfast of oatcakes (of course!) The coaches will collect sides from Fenton Town Hall, with each tour including a morning, lunch and afternoon dance stand, featuring at least one historic pottery/industrial heritage site and one pub.

Joint Morris Organisations (JMO) Weekend of Dance 2027 - Friday 9th - Sunday 11th April 2027, Sheffield
The Joint Morris Organisations (JMO) National Day of Dance is a collaborative event organised in turn by one of the three morris organisations in the UK – The Morris Federation, The Morris Ring, and Open Morris. The day of dance is a celebration of morris and traditional dancing held annually at a different location around the UK.
In 2027 the day of dance is on Saturday 10th April 2027 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, hosted by Fiver Rivers Morris on behalf of the Morris Federation. There will also be folk activities from Friday evening through to Sunday afternoon, for teams who wish to make a weekend of it.

The Illustrious Order of Fools and Beasts Unconvention 2026 - Friday 23rd - Sunday 25th October 2026 - Kent
An Illustrious Order of Fools & Beasts event. Open to all budding or experienced Fools, Beasts and Morris Characters from any team from the Morris Federation, Morris Ring, Open Morris, or independent. This year the event will be based in Faversham, Kent, and hosted by East Kent Morris, who will be the first ever Morris Federation team to host the Unconvention. Friday night there will be supper, bar, music/dance workshop and singing. The Saturday tour will be in Canterbury, as part of the Canterbury Arts Festival, and on Sunday the Illustrious Order’s AGM.

Arts and Minds Campaign - Open Letter
You may wish to sign the open letter to Bridget Phillipson MP, Secretary of State for Education and Lisa Nandy MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, asking the government to take steps to restore the value of creative subjects in schools.

Doc Rowe Film Premier
The Doc Rowe film and archive crowdfunder was a success, and the film premiered in Sheffield in June. We hope to see it released in cinemas soon!
