These two books and a CD are available direct from the Morris Federation:
- Rapper Sword Dance in America, by Rhett Krause, 2024. £30, plus £5.60 P&P to UK addresses. Proceeds of the book sales will be used to purchase rapper swords for our Schools Kit Bags for teaching under 18s.
- Morris Dancers & Rose Queens – An anthology of reported Carnivals and Galas in West Lancashire, by Johnny Haslett. Just a few left of Volumes 2 and 4. Free, but please donate to Johnny’s chosen charity, the Cleft Lip and Palate Association, CLAPA. £5.60 P&P to UK addresses.

Bells - New style 1" brass bells in stock!
We have NEW 1″ brass bells. These are from an alternative supplier, and will be priced at £1.05 for non-members and £0.90 for members. They are still 2-piece bells, as per our previous supplier, but have a larger fixing loop. We would like feedback on these bells, so we know whether you like them (or not).
We also have our usual selection of morris bells, some of which are now out of stock and very costly to re-stock, which is why we are looking at alternative suppliers.

The Morris Fed’s recent CD “Bells of Jubilee” to celebrate our 50th year has been withdrawn from sale by Talking Elephant and ourselves, due to insufficient written agreements being in place, and errors on the CD cover and sleeve notes.
We are in the process of clarifying and re-confirming all of the permissions, and gaining the correct wording for artist credits. So far, we have made initial contact with all the contributors, and have made a good start on getting firm written agreements in place.
The covers and the inner booklets will need reprinting to ensure that all artists are credited correctly.
We are very sorry that this has happened, and are working very hard to put it right. We hope that the CD can go back on sale with a revised cover and sleeve notes by March 2026. We are already working with artists and rights holders, but if you have any questions please email Jerry West at notation@morrisfed.org.uk.
FedExtra Spring 2026 - Submissions are OPEN for Fed Members
We have had several emails lately asking when the Spring FedExtra submissions deadline is, and with submissions already rolling in, space is filling up nicely. Open to members of Morris Federation teams, we would welcome your contributions up until the 1st February 2026.
In the meantime, keep an eye on your inboxes as a special 50th Anniversary edition will be arriving in the New Year, looking back on 50 years of the Fed and everything we have achieved in the last half a century.
