50 videos of 50 sides for the Morris Federation’s 50th anniversary!
The Morris Federation is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025. To celebrate this occasion during 2025 we will be publishing short videos which feature 50 Morris Federation sides.
The videos will be available on YouTube. In addition we will be inviting the featured sides to download videos of their side which they are free to use as they see fit: the videos could be uploaded to the side’s YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or similar video hosting account; posted on social media services such as Facebook; added to the side’s website – or used in other ways as the side sees fit!
Featured side
Southern Star are a highly innovative longsword team from Corfe Mullen in Dorset. We specialise in developing interesting sword locks.
The team wear distinctive, individual waistcoats, as a colourful and practical costume. In the cold, wet months, we meet in Corfe Mullen Library on Monday evenings at 7:30. In sunny dry months, we hang out at various local pubs, especially the Dorset Soldier.
We love doing workshops for any age group from 7-70+ Just ask! We welcome new dancers at all times.
