Garston Gallopers (short video)

Video collection

A collection of 50 short videos of Morris Federation sides will be released during 2025.

50 videos of 50 sides for the Morris Federation’s 50th anniversary!

The Morris Federation is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025. To celebrate this occasion during 2025 we will be publishing short videos which feature 50 Morris Federation sides.

The videos will be available on YouTube. In addition we will be inviting the featured sides to download videos of their side which they are free to use as they see fit: the videos could be uploaded to the side’s YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or similar video hosting account; posted on social media services such as Facebook; added to the side’s website – or used in other ways as the side sees fit!

Featured side

Garston Gallopers are based in the village of East Garston, West Berkshire and we practice in our Village Hall on Monday evenings.

Our style is a combination of Cotswold and Border with the majority of our dances having been inherited from Kintbury Morris or are our own invention.

We are a mixed gender side with both men and women dancing together in the same set. We are always looking for new recruits, both dancers and musicians, and are currently particularly short of male dancers so they would be welcomed with open arms!

Our members come from a wide area including local villages, Newbury and into Wiltshire and Hampshire. Currently our musicians all play melodeons which is perfect, especially outdoors, but we are open to offers from anyone keen to play a different instrument.
