Downes on Tour (short video)

Featured side: Downes-on-Tour

Downes-on-Tour comprises 2 teams who dance Cotswold morris – a men’s team and a women’s team.

The men currently dance Bledington and Ascot styles, plus the Upon on Severn stick dance. Their kit is black breeches & shoes, red socks, white shirts, yellow-red-grey sashes & arm bands, bells pads with yellow ribbons, and black top hats.

The women currently dance Fieldtown style. Their kit is white trousers, shirts and trainers, plus red belt and bell straps, and red-yellow rosettes at the elbow.

Practices and dance outs are organised by team members at weekends – a practice on the Saturday and dance-out, or walk, on the Sunday. They also dance out at festivals and morris weekends.
