Featured side – Bare Bones Border Morris

Bare Bones Border Morris is a women’s Morris dance side from Loughborough in Leicestershire that was started in 1985.

We dance in the tradition from the Welsh Borders. The style of dancing is brash and energetic with much clashing of wooden sticks (which we coppice ourselves ). We have mostly devised our own dances in the spirit of the Border style. The dances range from the very traditional Bagworth to the much more modern Jiving Dance.
