18-39 Workshop Weekend (Storrington, West Sussex)
We know how hard youth networking can be in the Morris world, and want to help with that, so this one is for the younger members…
Are you a younger dancer or musician between the ages of 18 and 39, or will you be in March 2025? Are you keen to meet, dance alongside and get to know other Morris folks of the same age? Would you like to broaden your horizons and try out other traditions and styles of Morris via a fun, immersive workshop weekend, and make some new friends whilst doing it? If so, this is the event for you! Run by younger folk, exclusively for younger folk, we are going to be hosting our very first 18 – 39 mixed workshop weekend Fri 14th-Sun 16th March 2025, featuring workshops on a variety of styles, and would like YOU to come and be a part of it.
BOOKINGS OPEN. Book by 24th January. Click on the name of the event for more info.

Playing For Morris Dancing Workshop – John Kirkpatrick
An event hosted and led by John Kirkpatrick.
Sunday 25th February 2024 in Bishops Castle, Shropshire.
“Come and learn from somebody who has been Morris Dancing, playing for it, and thinking about it since he was twelve years old. After over 60 years, he must know something! This will mainly be useful for people who already play for this kind of dancing, but anybody who enjoys bashing out a tune will be most welcome. We aim to cover all styles of Morris Dancing. Acoustic instruments only, please – no electronics or percussion. Tuition will be both by ear and from printed music, which will be available in advance.”
Morris Ring Jigs Instructional 2024 (Sutton Bonington, near Nottingham)
A Morris Ring event. Open to all members of teams from the Morris Ring, Morris Federation, Open Morris, or independent.
You need to be comfortable dancing set dances from at least one Cotswold tradition. The sessions are as much about dancing well as about dancing jigs, so one frequent attendee refers to it as “an MoT for my Morris”.
BOOKINGS OPEN. Click on the name of the event for more info.
