Updating Your Morris Federation Teamfinder Profile

This document describes how contacts with permission to update their side’s profile on the Morris Federation’s Teamfinder service can do so.

About Teamfinder Profiles

Teamfinder profiles were initially simple containing the name of the side and an address, togther with links to a website and social media services, if provided. An example is shown below.

Developments to Teamfinder Profiles

It is now possible to provide more informatioon in Teamfinder profiles. As shown in Figure 2 you can now (a) provide a biref summary about your side (shown underneath the dance style); add links to videos (hosted on YouTube of Vimeo) and (c) upload pictures.

Other developments, such as uploading other files (such as publicity materials, side history, etc.) are currently being tested.

Other Developments

It is also possible to change your password rather than sending an email so that a random password is generated for you. This will make it easier to create a memorable password which can be shared with other trused individuals in your side.

About the Author

Brian Kelly joined the Newcastle Kingsmen in 1978 and for many years was a prize-winning Betty for them. He has also danced with Sallyport Sword Dancers and Northgate Rapper as well as the now-defunct Green Ginger Morris, Phoenix Sword and Black Cap sides. He is currently a dancer with Haymarket Rapper and Wyld Morris.

Brian help set up a website for the University of Leeds in January 1993 – one of the first 100 websites in the world. During most of his professional career he was a national web adviser to UK Universities.
