If you are having problems sourcing durable sticks (we all know broomsticks are useless!) then there’s some valuable advice. The Antipodes are well represented in this issue, with an account of a visit down under by a couple of Beetlecrushers, and an initiation into Molly Dancing by a City of Auckland Dancer. Everybody involved in Longsword will be aware of the priceless contribution to the preservation and promotion of the tradition by the late Ivor Allsop.

The JMO Day of Dance is a collaborative event organised in turn by one of the three morris organisations in the UK – The Morris Federation, The Morris Ring, and Open Morris. The day of dance is a celebration of morris and traditional dancing held annually at a different location around the UK.

Morris Federation Day of Dance and AGM 2016

The Morris Federation and Mortimer’s Morris extend a warm welcome to all members of the Federation to join us in a day of dance in Nottingham on Saturday 24 September 2016, followed by the Morris Federation AGM at 4.30pm (4pm sign-in) at the Canalhouse. Please note that applications to the day of dance are now closed, but all members are still welcome to come and watch the dancing and to join us at the AGM.
