SUMMARY:Workshop - North West - Lockdown Dance for 4 - Chinewrde Morris (LIVE on Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:Recording of event\nThis workshop took place using the Zoom video service on 31 January 2021. A recording of the event is available on YouTube: ‘Lockdown’ – North West – Chinewrde – Workshop 2021. \n \nWorkshop – North West – Lockdown Dance for 4 – Chinewrde Morris\n‘Lockdown’ is a North West style dance for 4 distanced dancers written by Hazel Old of Chinewrde Morris.  She wrote this dance during the first lockdown\, and some of Chinewrde were dancing it outdoors as soon as the guidelines allowed. \nHazel will be teaching the dance in a 1hr 30min session suitable for all\, especially for those with some morris experience.  We will warm up with Clare Watters and practice stepping before the dance.  Will Pound will provide the music. \n– Skill level: beginner/intermediate \n– Equipment required: 2 sticks with bells/wooden spoons/something similar to hold.  Comfortable shoes. \n– Space: at least 2 square metres \n– Tune: Brighton Camp (musicians welcome\, although sorry\, you won’t be heard via Zoom) \nSee links to a video and notation under ‘resources’ below. \nYour hosts\nChinewrde Morris is based in Kenilworth\, Warwickshire.
