A recording of the event is available on YouTube: Kirtlington Morris – Talk and Workshop. \n \nTalk & Workshop – Kirtlington Morris – “And I often wonder – How did it all start?”\nTalk and a workshop by Kirtlington Morris introducing the Kirtlington cotswold morris tradition from Oxfordshire. \nProgramme (times are approximate):\n– Musical introduction – 5 mins \n– Talk – 45 mins \n– Dance Workshop – 45 mins \n– Q&A – 25 mins \nTalk:\nThe history of Morris at Kirtlington Lamb Ale in the 17th to 19th centuries is outlined by Bob Dunlop. \nPaul Davenport describes the reconstruction of the Kirtlington dances in the 1970s. \nTim Radford reflects on the Kirtlington revival. \nNigel Holt talks about the work of Len Berry and Barbara Berry as first squire and first musician of the revived Kirtlington side. \n  \nThe drawing is a Kirtlington dancer in 1912\, from an article in Oxford Times 1912 for a lecture at Kirtlington by Tindall Wildridge. \nWorkshop:\nDillon Browne introduces the steps and figures of the tradition\, with a chance to join in and see how these fit into some of the dances – wear comfortable dancing clothes and bring a pair of hankies. \nMusic by John Leslie\, principal musician for ten years\, who has played\, sung and danced since the 1970s.  John Leslie is busy recording all the Kirtlington tunes as ‘a tune a day’ on Facebook. \nYour hosts\nEvents and website officer John Mayo will be your MC and introduce the speakers. \nA brief history about the team and Lamb Ale is on their web site: Kirtlington Morris. \nTo register\nPlease complete this online form: Register for the Talk/Workshop – Kirtlington Morris; you will receive a confirmation email immediately (check your spam/junk/promotions folder!).  We will send you a Zoom link a couple of days before the event.  Open to all – you don’t have to be a member of a team in The Morris Federation. \nOptional Donations\nIf you enjoy this event\, then it would be wonderful if you could send a donation\, small or large\, to Prostate Cancer UK: https://prostatecanceruk.org/get-involved/donate
