2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage
The UK government is planning to ratify the UNESCO 2003 Convention for Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The UK government’s DCMS (Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport) has launched a public consultation on the initial stages of implementation, focusing on the defining and identifying intangible cultural heritage in the UK. This was announced on 23rd December 2023, and this first survey closes on 29th February 2024.
